Diet and Exercise

Good Morning Everyone!

Now I realize I haven’t posted or blogged about diet and exercise, but that is because I don’t have a lot to tell you. Most people think that in order to lose weight, one needs to deprive themselves of greasy, fatty, unhealthy foods, join and work out at a gym, and never have fun or do anything different besides going to work, and then doing nothing else. I am not of that philosophy. I believe in eating whatever you want and not necessarily exercising in the normal, gym tradition.

I enjoy ballroom and latin ballroom dancing, yoga, and running/jogging to help me get some muscle and to lose the weight in a fun and energetic manner. With food I try my best to do smaller portions and to cook the food in as healthy a manner as possible. That means steaming or grilling my vegetables, grilling or baking my meats, fish, poultry, and limiting the amount of fat that I consume. Now as mentioned yesterday, I was going to talk about me and my fiancés experience at the Pyramid Club.

First and foremost, the view was incredible! Depending on where you were, you had an unobstructed view of the entire city of Philadelphia and New Jersey. The open bar was lovely. I wound up having two raspberry martini’s and three glasses of red wine, one a cabernet sauvignon, and a pinot noir. The food was beautifully prepared, plated, and tasted awesome! The mini cheeseburgers were juicy and tender, the bun was a little dry, but overall nice. The cheesesteak spring rolls were to die for, and the rueben sandwich was light and perfectly balanced in flavor. The charcuterie was top notch, and the people present had a ball supporting each others endeavors with the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund. If at all possible, consider supporting this non-profit organization or joining the Pyramid Club. If not, try travel zoom for dinner reservations. I hope everyone has a good day and try to stay warm.
